 CELLSITE GMCSS-3 This harness is used in conjuction with the phone mute switch feature on 2007 GM / Chevy radios with factory installed RDS radios and OnStar. When the harness is installed it will, upon activation by an incoming or outgoing call, automatically mute the radio and play the call through the factory sound system. NOTE: RDS radios are standard equipment in 2000 and up cars, small pickups and small SUV s and 2003 and up large trucks and large SUV S. (excludes Cadillac cars. ) FEATURES: For use with Nokia or Motorola handsfree kits. Mutes the factory radio whenever a call is made or received. Plays all of your phone calls through the factory sound system. (All speakers) CALL or PHONE will appear on the factory radios display. GM radios volume knob will control the volume of your cellular phone calls. When your phone call has ended, radios volume will return to factory set lower level. No startling the driver or passengers. Constant power to radio means that even with radio off, the phone is still active through the factory sound system. This harness is a Plug and Play T harness that takes advantage of the phone mute switch on the face of 75 to 80 of the year 2003 and up GM factory radios. Will work on GM s with OnStar Only. Harness has Motorola connector attached, Nokia Kits must be hardwired Install the T harness between the factory radio and the factory radio harness. A 3 foot loom that has a plug and a mini plug at the end of it then plugs into the brain. Run your microphone and antenna then install your cellular mount and cradle, make those connections and you are finished! You have saved yourself 20-30 minutes of installation time because you did not have to access and tap into power, ground and switched or mount the speaker. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Remove the factory radio to gain access to the rear of the radio. 2) Disconnect the power and speaker harness from the radio. 3) Plug the FCSS-1 harness into the radio and plug the other end into the power and speaker harness removed from the radio.
